The lights are on
A new patent from Sony earlier this month has surfaced, showing off a bizarrely-shaped controller with the Move wand attached.
The controller peripheral allows users to change the positioning of the side handles. This is of course not official yet. Companies patent things all the time and never actually use them. Also, the design of this controller, if made, would likely look different that the diagram shown here.
What do you think? Is this something you'd pick up and use?

weird and huge. I bet it wouldbe good for throwing like a frisbee though
A controller with a Move wand in the middle...it seems to be a cartoonist attempt at an approved Sixaxis.
I could almost see this design in a GameInfarcer article, but as ridicules as this looks now I'm interested to see what Sony does with it.
Eh, it looks sorta cool.
Remember the boomerang controller for the PS3? This sort of reminds me of that thing.
This looks like a controller for a mobile suit, lol maybe the PS4 will actually be a Gundam, now that's next-gen right there.
Em. No. I be pissed if I'm going to have to use the move in all my games. Thats why I got rid of my Wii
looks like an advance sixaxis controller, meh
My best guess is it's for a cycling game. Something with I bike.
what the *** is that!?
What the heck is this?
Lame - looks like a flying game controller.
I don't know - I kind of like the idea - but then I've always been partial to alternate controllers. I like my ace-combat flight stick, my rock band kit, and my (old model) racing wheel for the 360. Its a way of stepping outside of conventional gaming to enjoy games in a different and more immersive way. I feel like there's potential here - as long as getting one is cost effective.
I wonder how much money companies would save if they just stopped doing stupid crap like this and all the goofy Wii patents.
how would that even work?
Maybe it could be used for flight sims or race sims?...
Looks like they are following Nintendo in ridiculously large controllers
In some weird way it reminds me of an N64 controller lol
