The lights are on
It's been suspected that a delay might be coming for THQ's Darksiders II, and now it's official.
The game will now come out for Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 in August rather than June.
In a to-the-point FAQ, Vigil states that this is being done purely for polish reasons, dismissing the talk of layoffs, the Wii U version of the game that will appear at the console's launch, and more being factors in the decision.

NOOOOOO, but okay. If those are the real reasons, then I'm cool with it. Polish is NEVER a bad idea.
This would also explain the drop in price for the pre-order
I will never complain when a developer decides to delay and finish rather than send out and patch. Looking forward to this and loved the first one.

Good call THQ. I hope they are still around in August. Maybe Darksiders2 can help the financial problems THQ is experiencing. Too many great developers are going down :( They can count on my $60+DLC
Man, I was hopeful this was gonna be in June. But if it's gonna make the game extra shiny go for it guys!

I'll buy "delayed for polish reasons", but let's be honest: Traditionally speaking, games that release in the summer generally don't sell that well.
At least no one is losing their jobs and that it is being done for polish reasons means we will have a better game. It's gonna be hard to wait though.

Thanks to a number of delays, it's beginning to look like this year could have a very crowded late-summer/fall season.
Oh well, I hope the time is worth it and the game is good. THQ needs it. And, assuming this is as good as it looks, I want darksiders 3, so it needs to sell.
Good rather have it polished and delayed then have something with bugs
