Diablo III Beta Ends May 1

Blizzard said today the servers for the Diablo III beta are being turned off on May 1.

"We'd like to thank everyone who has participated in the Diablo III beta," the developer said. "You've done an admirable job of testing, and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback you provided during this critical phase of development."

All beta accounts and character information will be reset, and players will only be able to create comments and forum posts on the official Diablo III community site if they have pre-purchased Diablo III or have a StarCraft II or an active World of Warcraft game license attached to their Battle.net account.

Diablo III launches on May 15.

    I'm upset....but mostly because they have told us for years it's "ready when its ready", but seem to have done a complete 180 from that.

    I never got in... but that's alright. My computer sucks too bad to handle the requirements anyway :D

    The thing that I hate most about most mmorpg's is the subscription fee. It is like the game companies are hanging us by our feet and bleeding us of our money. I really want to play games like Tera or Diablo III the subscription is areal stumbling block for me. That is why you will only see me on guildwars servers.
