The lights are on
Electronic Arts has revised its policy towards banned or suspended accounts. Now those afflicted can play single-player and other aspects of their title despite their status.
Previously, if you were banned or suspended due to a violation in multiplayer, you couldn't access the single-player, DLC, or entitlements of the game. The update has already happened, but EA has waited a little bit to make sure it is legally in the clear.
According to EA's site: "If you find yourself with a disabled account, please note that you can still play EA games in single-player mode. For PC games you will need to enable Origin's offline mode to play games with a disabled account. Go to the settings tab in Origin (the gear icon) and select Go Offline."

You guys are mad about this? EA is letting people access the things that they paid money for, that seems pretty just if you ask me. There are only two problems with Origin: the overlay occasionally does not work in game. The other, more important issue is that it simply isn't Steam.
Turns out they have been voted worst company for a reason.
About time EA did this.
Well that was a no brainer huh EA? Sometimes I wonder who sits behind the desks of these companies.
I don't even know why EA implemented this in the first place. Oh well, EA is showing at least they don't have an utter idiot running the place, just an regular idiot.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was pretty sure I read steam did this as well, before Origin even came onto the scene. Seems I remember a story where guy wanted to sell hundreds or thousands of $$ worth of his games he "owned" on steam, and steam found out, said that's a violation of your TOS, banned em, and now he cant even play any of those games in single player.
Okay EA, good job making a not-bad product, now focus on making a GOOD product.
I don't know why EA wouldn't let suspended/banned accounts on Origin play singleplayer but at least they can play singleplayer now.
This shouldn't have been an issue that needed fixing to begin with.
Pfff, don't worry I'll never use you service. You've already made sure of that!
I don't buy EA titles anymore because of Origin. It kinda sucks, but there are plenty of other choices.
Ugh... I don't like Origin
