Fez Fixes Coming Soon

Fez finally came out on Friday, and we liked it quite a bit, but its release to the general public hasn't been entirely without hiccups.

Many Fez players are experiences game breaking glitches and in some cases, the game won't run at all. Developer Polytron has issued a statement regarding the glitches, promising that fixes will be coming soon. Polytron is working closely with Microsoft to issue a patch, but it doesn't have a date for when the patch will be available just yet. In the meantime, it is asking that anyone experiencing an error to e-mail support@fezgame.com with details.

  • this wouldn't happen with a japanese title. lol.
  • sooo.......*long pause* does that mean the game is still good? *_*...
  • I've been having a great time with it. The only problem I have with it is when it makes my own brain glitch. It hurts. Is there a patch for that?
  • well if these people were eating a snickers then maby!!! IT WOULD WORK!!! but if you keep munchin on those kit kats, and this is what it does to your gaming experience!
  • Reminds me of Andrew Reiner tweeting earlier how Fez literally crashed to his Xbox dashboard. I'm sure the game is great, and I really want to pick it up soon (Bastion is first), but I'm glad I'll be somewhat late enough for patches to be in effect.
  • I love to play this game, but according to the developerers "computters are for spreadchees, not ganing"
  • Wow. That's just..... Messed up..........

  • The soundtrack is certainly blowing my mind. I'm sad to hear they're having problems... The only error I ran into is when I purchased the game while still in the game's menus. My Fez character was frozen in the dark and nothing was happening. So, all I needed to do is restart.
  • At first, I thought it was part of the game. But the slowdown while saving and during the transitions between the levels has been getting on my nerves. The game is frustrating enough as is! Good to know they are fixing it and I hope it is released soon.

  • Thank you.
  • i had the game freeze once so far playing for a couple hours but other than that this game is fun and very original.

  • Ah, that's what Japanese games are missing. Years of work and still needing patches to fix massive glitches.
  • I've been having huge slowdowns and pretty frequent freezes. When I get it to play, it's a fun game though. Some of the puzzles so far have been clever but incredibly frustrating at times, too. I never cared for how arrogant Phil Fish seemed to be, but I'll admit he made a great game, bugs notwithstanding.

  • I want this game on PSN really bad, maybe I will cave and grab it on Steam.
  • I think I'm gonna not play this game.

  • Why would an "indie" developer only release this on Xbox and not on the ps3 also? How much did Microsoft pay you Polytron!
  • I enjoy playing games that don't work. They're the best kind of games!

  • This might be out of place considering the topic of the article, but does everyone at GI just go home for the weekend except for Kyle? He put up every article since the Replay on the 13th.
  • I want it
