Shadowrun Creator Also Wants To Resurrect Crimson Skies

Jordan Weisman, the creator of Shadowrun, was so impressed at the result of his Kickstarter campaign to fund a new entry in the cyberpunk RPG series that he's considering bringing back the Crimson Skies franchise.

Shadowrun's Kickstarter was a massive success, reaching its $400,000 goal in 24 hours, and has now raised over $875,000. This has given Weisman hope that Crimson Skies will see similar results.

In an interview with Shacknews, Weisman said, "I'm hopeful [Crimson Skies] is another property that I can approach soon. I'm in discussions with them about that," he told us. "I'm hoping that we can bring that back to life as well."

Crimson Skies for PC and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge for Xbox 360 were based on the original FASA board game. Both games were published by Microsoft, which has since lost interest in the series.

Hopefully, Weisman's new studio Harebrained Schemes can help bring this series back. However, he did caution that it probably won't be in the near future, as the company will have its hands full with Shadowrun.
