The Mass Effect series lets you pick a romantic interest. Outside of a few flirtatious scenes and a night spent in Shepard's quarters, we don't see how far Shepard's relationships end up going. Deviant Artist SLM gives Garrus lovers a glimpse at what could have happened if their relationship blossomed.
Many players wanted a new ending for Mass Effect 3, and we think this would suffice. You see the consequences of your actions. Things end on a happy note. And we could be looking at a potential protagonist for Mass Effect 4. If you're reading this BioWare, change your plans now. Nothing you do can top this.

Indeed, since Shepherd can be a woman, the idea of forcing in most situations into death is stupid. They have to allow something like this, not in ever circumstance could you leave a female pregnant. Sacrificing the crew is one thing, but Shepherd, regardless of the Jesus theme, IS NOT a character that should be a sacrifice character. Maybe that could have been determined by whether you have her be ruthless, sole survivor, or war hero. You should have been able to make any choice you want as long as it doesn't conflict with the character you made for yourself. If she's pregnant, they should decline to let you sacrifice yourself, etc. Or if you have a pregnant love interest, you should be allowed to make the decisions that allow you to survive at all costs, including letting the war continue and escaping. Who says you shouldn't be allowed to agree with the Reapers?

For those who took offense to this: Just know that this is a joke and nothing more. But I can't help but agree that I too can see this as a possible alternative ending to Mass Effect 3. This is the best fan fiction I've ever seen.
