The lights are on
Dragon shouts are about to get more shouty, thanks to a free update to the Xbox 360 version of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The download, set to release this month, will add Kinect support with more than 200 voice commands.
The video below breaks down just some of the new functionality, which goes far beyond merely aping your character's special dragon shouts. Players can use their voice to access quick saves, direct their allies in combat, sort through their inventories, and much more. Bethesda hinted that Kinect support was a possibility a few months back.
All right, Bethesda. You can scratch this one off our wish list. Now get to work addressing the rest of our DLC whims already!

Now, if only they made an update that let's you use the move for combat...
Seems really cool and helpful! Just don't use Kinect with Skyrim with the house full of talkative people.
Hmm... That is all
Ok, two questions. One, why isn't voice recognition part of the other consoles? Seriously, the programmers have to teach the GAME how to recognize voice commands, not Kinect itself. You can just add voice controls to PS3 and PC. I'd love shouting into my headset and watching people fly off ledges.
Also, if they're using Kinect already, why can't we have optional motion controls? I wanna use a bow in Skyrim with my arms!
Makes me wish I had bought the 320 GB Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect instead of the one without.
These Kinect commands actually look really useful. I have Skyrim for PS3 and PC though, so yeah. If I did have it for 360 it would give me a reason to use Kinect after months of having it collect dust. Heard there is a Skyrim mod that allows Kinect use on the PC. I might check that out.
still don't understand why this is not enabled when using a regular mic.
Thats awesome, to bad I dont really care and would rather use my controller<3 hahaha sorry but Kinect isnt worth my time in my opinion.
Now I wish that I hadn't bought it for PC...but that's what mods are for!
Speech Skill Increase? You got that right...
I'm glad I've got a kinect, been wanting to play something new that's actually good. I can't wait for this!
This makes me want to buy a Kinect so I won't have to use the favorites screen.
I have an Xbox 360 but I don't have a Kinect. Thinking of getting one.
The first true reason to own a kinnect. Not a gimmick or party game. This actually makes me want to get one. If convenience features like this are added in future titles, it will be a worthy investment.
seriously this is the first time i ever wanted kinect
Although I have Kinect I won't be using this feature, I'm too old for that ish, but I must say it's a pretty cool feature for those who like shouting stuff across the room!
I might start playing this now. The reason I haven't played it yet is I hate that pause in the action where you have to pause, access your favorites, choose a weapon, then start agian. This might keep the flow constant if they do it right
