The lights are on
Dragon shouts are about to get more shouty, thanks to a free update to the Xbox 360 version of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The download, set to release this month, will add Kinect support with more than 200 voice commands.
The video below breaks down just some of the new functionality, which goes far beyond merely aping your character's special dragon shouts. Players can use their voice to access quick saves, direct their allies in combat, sort through their inventories, and much more. Bethesda hinted that Kinect support was a possibility a few months back.
All right, Bethesda. You can scratch this one off our wish list. Now get to work addressing the rest of our DLC whims already!

Screw ME3, I Definitely have to hook up the Kinect now. :D
I am gonna have a permanent soar throat from yelling Dragon Shouts at my TV now.
That's pretty cool. I don't have an xbox360, so I guess I'm missing out on this update. Bbuutt, I'm not too upset about it.
Fus ro dah!
Uh... that's the only one I remember. Kinda hard understanding the baby raptors.
Now not only will I have to risk the possibility of people (namely girls) walking in on me playing Skyrim in my lonesome dorm room, but I'll have to risk them hearing me play it as well.
I have to admit... that was pretty cool.
Finally a good use for the Kinect!
OMG kinect is a pretty cool guy he can has voice control ands not afraid of just being a $200 dollar mic for "core" games brb I gotta have a stiff drink so I can sound more authentic while I shout into my $5 dollar ebay mic and modded skyrim to do the exact same thing as this revolutionary piece of hardware......
they really need to add stuff for people who DON'T have kinect ( although this is really cool)
This is awesome, too bad I don't have a kinect. Man, I should really invest in one of those.
Is there a shout to fix broken parts of the game lol
I am liking this new use of the Kinect. I use the voice commands for Mass Effect 3 when I can and, while gimmicky, shouting "Incinerate" as Commander Shephard makes me feel cool (as long as no one else is in the room).
I used to entertain the notion that I might make use of Kinect voice commands... it made sense on paper for ally commands on Mass Effect 3. Didn't use them once beyond a quick trial of the feature :|
if this actually works as smoothly as it does in this video I might have to buy a kinect
this is probably THE only cool thing to do with kinect that i have seen thus far. This, and the trailer for ryse.
That's pretty cool but iirc it was already introducted through mods (although I hope this one will be superior, not that the mod as bad but being official it should be) and to be fair, I think it'll be like ME3's Kinect commands: they may be fun for a while but using the controller is way better :/
Hahha okay guys. Lets all roar together... ROAR!!!
