The lights are on
THQ previously announced it was shipping Darksiders II in June. Now, that might not be the case anymore.
In a recent interview with Ripten, VP of Core Games Danny Bilson was asked about the possibility of the game being delayed past its June 26 date due to the recent restructuring and subsequent layoffs at THQ. He responded saying, "We haven’t announced anything… but the team is working really, really hard. We’re not going to ship it before it’s done."
A THQ PR representative during the interview was also unable to comment on the release date.
Game Informer followed up with the publisher and was told, "No new announcements have been made at this time."
So, there you go. Darksiders II was officially announced for June 26. But now the publisher refuses to comment on if it's still happening. We'll hopefully know more as we get closer to E3 in June.

This can't be good.
take all the time you guys need. More time= more effort= a better end product. Hell, take until early next year to ship the game if it means the game will benefit. I'm still trying to play through my massive backlog of games I've bought recently and haven't even opened.

Doesn't sound good. THQ has to get this game out in the Summer, definitely no later than early August. If they push it back to September or later, it's going to be releasing against some major competition. September has Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3. October has Resident Evil 6, MoH:Warfighter, Assassins Creed 3, and Bioshock:Infinite. November will most likely have another COD. Plus there's still major games without release dates so far, like Halo 4, Aliens:CM, Tomb Raider, Himan:Absolution, etc.
As good as DarkSiders II will be, that's just too much competition.
I hope that isn't the case because this was gonna be my summer game to kill all the down time between Withcer 2 and Halo 4/ Borderlands 2 in the fall =) Hoping y'all are wrong lol

I don't care when Darksiders 2 is released as long as it's released.
I REALLY hope we wont have to wait any longer. But I'd still prefer to wait, over getting a unpolished game.
I prefer to wait for a clean version that has more in it than getting patches on top of patches of a glitchy, terrible looking rush job with deleted scenes/levels/bosses. Case in point: Bioshock Infinite.
