Hitman: Absolution Is Getting A Collector's Edition And Pre-Order Bonuses

Technically it's called the "Professional Edition," but we know what they really mean.

It will include a premium hardcover art book with a foreword from Game Director Tore Blystad, an exclusive behind-the-scenes “making of” video, and it's all packaged in a fancy clamshell.

Absolution will also have retail specific pre-order bonuses depending on where you want to pick up your game from. Here's the list:

Amazon

  • Bartoli Custom Pistol – An engineered precision weapon, complete with sight and silencer.

Best Buy

  • Bronson 1928M SMG – A classic submachine gun with high fire rate and deadly stopping power.

GameStop

  • Sniper Rifle: Agency Kazo TRG – The modern agency rifle with upgradable scope and silencer.

Walmart

  • Krugermeier 2-2 Pistol – An accurate, reliable stealth weapon with a built-in silencer.

You can see the pre-order bonuses in picture form in the gallery below. According to Square Enix, more pre-order bonuses will be announced next month.

Hitman: Absolution will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC sometime this year.

  • Looks like it'll cost 80$. Standard price for this type of of item, I know, but I just thought I'd point it out since the article currently doesn't have a price listed.
  • Those weapons look pretty cool... and second!
  • Still need to beat Hitman: Blood Money...

  • Weapons looks rad.

  • I was hoping this game would get a CE. I'm just hoping it will be $80. I refuse to buy any CE that's above 80 unless the extra content is worth it, and it usually is not...

  • Seems like most collector's editions nowadays are a waste of money.
  • just STOP it with the stupid preorder bonus ingame content.  This is why I love Wii games, because its like the old days where everything is already in the game, and you unlock it with hard work.  Non of this preorder garbage.

  • I heard there's also a bonus, where you get jacked from behind and some tattoo's a barcode on the back of your head. That's the Ultra Professional Edition.

  • I have to say it will be $70

  • I just preordered this yesterday, nice to see what I'm getting.

  • Now they just need to announce the price and release date and I MIGHT consider it.

  • Hitman kinda fell off my radar for a bit there... Another one to look forward to this year!

  • That's some nice looking stuff.

  • Forgot this game was even coming out this year, I guess another one to add to the list

  • If they would actually ship it in some sort of carrying case-like case and therefore give you more physical content, I'd consider it. I'm a bit spoiled by the physical content you get from Assassin's Creed special editions, it seems. I need to see more gameplay videos, too, before I decide if I'll spend money on this game. I'm not exactly a fan of the gameplay featured in previous games.

  • *gives each pre-order bonus weapon a once-over* Can't say any are particularly desirable. Surprised they didn't go with fan favorites to entice buyers... but I suppose kudos for not.

  • No REAL guns? Darn.

  • OHH YESS GIVE IT TO ME IT LOOKS SO SO SO YUMMY PLEASE JUST A TAST!

  • Best Buy bonus seem a little pointless if your trying to be stealthy.
