Nielsen Ranks The Most Anticipated Games Of 2012

Nielsen has ranked the games that gamers are most excited about this year, and the results aren't surprising.

In the lead for Xbox 360 is Halo 4. On the PlayStation 3, Assassin's creed III. On the Wii, people are excited about Madden 2013. Surprisingly low on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3's lists, is BioShock Infinite falling tenth and ninth respectively. What's really interesting about these lists, is seeing which games are creating more excitement on which consoles. For example, PlayStation 3 gamers are looking forward to Prototype 2, which is number seven on the list, but on Xbox 360 it doesn't even show up in the top 11.

I am anticipating only 4 of the games that appeared on the Xbox list. RE6, Bioshock infinite, Assassin's Creed 3, and Halo 4 . Surprised I didn't see Borderlands 2 or Witcher 2 cracking the top 10. I am also looking forward to South Park, Far Cry 3, GTA V (possibly in october), and Dragon's Dogma. There are gonna be a number of good games this year.

They could have rated Ghost Recon: Future Soldier higher than 80%, just saying! The trailers alone warrant an 85%. Who rates these games for Nielsen's? I have no qualms with the ratings for Max Payne 3 & MOH: Warfighter. Their rankings are about on-par with where I think they should have been.

Let me see... I don't really care about Halo, tentative about ACIII, find it sad that a sports game is #1 on the Wii.

Meh. Just meh. Idk. I guess Infinite is mine and I'm not THAT excited. And Tomb Raider. Those being under a couple of crappy Kinect games depresses me. I'm starting to feel a little too disconnected from the modern scene.

Fable: The Journey made the list at #7? As soon as I saw that I discounted the legitimacy of this list. No way that game is that high on this list and shouldn't even be on it.

Madden that high on the list? Bioshock Infinite at the bottom? No Last of Us on PS3?

The people who made this list obviously know nothing about video games.

I, for one, am looking forward to some new announcements for PS Vita games... like c'mon!! I know we are all ready for an AC game on the damn thing!!Hell at this point, I'll settle for COD even... and that is saying something about this year's holiday season for the Vita.
