Pac-Man Smash! Trademarked

Namco Bandai Europe recently filed a trademark for Pac-Man Smash!, though there are no details about what this potential game might be.

Could Pac-Man be starring in his own fighting game? He recently appeared in Street Fighter X Tekken as a fighter controlling Mokujin (see above).

Namco Bandai has not officially announced Pac-Man Smash!. It's possible we may never see the project, whatever it is, as companies sometimes trademark names just to protect them for potential use in the future.

The publisher has been contacted for comment.

When I read "Smash", I had the image of that Monty Python foot in my head. Is this supposed to be like Super Smash Bros.? I've been itching for a non-HP or sports-based fighting game for awhile now.

Always been addicted to the normal pacman. I loved the google Pacman while it was up and running. I'd love to see it smashing people. Perhaps a maze in-game with people trying to kill it? Rather than run from them, just bash them. But make sure it's hard to bash 'em.

I'm sorry but if he had his own fighing game that would be a crazy bad idea. I wouldn't buy it. And couldn't they think of a better name than "Pac-man Smash!"? I mean there's already a "Smash" in the amazing "Super Smash bros." franchise. Ahhh... I'll be quiet now.

In all honesty, the only Pac-Man I think the world needs right now is another Pac-Man Championship Edition.
