The lights are on
InXile Entertainment has released the first piece of concept art for its crowd-funded sequel to the original post-apocalypse computer RPG, Wasteland.
The developer posted the image on its Kickstarter page, which is currently at $2.2 million in donations, more than twice its original goal. That extra money isn't going to waste; InXile has announced the additional funds will be used to create Mac and Linux versions of the game, and breaking the $2.1 million barrier also ensured that Obsidian's Chris Avellone will join the design team. The Kickstarter still has a week to go, so check it out if you feel like pledging as well. Otherwise, you can grab a wallpaper version of the above concept art at the Wasteland 2 homepage.

Interest!
looks really brown
Neato!
I actually still have a copy of the first, ah memories...
nice looking
I love the realistic goals these companies set and the fist-fulls of cash thrown at them to the point where the goals are shattered (sometimes within a day). Goes to show how much people care about video games, and how strong this industry has become. Now if only we could do away with metacritic-score-based bonuses...
That concept art looks pretty darn good.
Man, I am super excited for this!
Any chance this could get a console release with enough dough? Hey, one can hope.
Not for myself since I have a nice PC, but the more people who can play it, the better to show companies what gamers really want.
Wow. Concept art this fast? I guess they plan on putting a lot of effort into this game.
I'm glad to be a backer for this game.
Awesome concept image, I never played the original, though with Chris Avellone attached, I will be keeping an eye on it. I know people are really hating on the kickstarter craze, but I see it as a great thing, as this allows them to make games that you want to play that they otherwise would never have been granted funds to make in the first place. Keep em coming!!!
Dark very, very dark.
I never played Wasteland, but the concept art looks interesting like I almost want to see what each character has been through or something. I really do hope it comes on console but who knows.. Probably not:(
