The lights are on
Markus "Notch" Persson has made huge waves in the gaming industry in the last couple of years, with his creation Minecraft becoming a bonafide phenomenon. However, his influence on the industry isn't limited to development. Ever since his rise to internet fame, his trademark not-quite-a-cowboy-hat, not-quite-a-derby-hat thing has become a staple at gaming conventions. Considering I already took pictures of the notable booths and cosplayers in the first two days of Sights of PAX East, I dedicated my final day to hunting down the most Notch-y of attendees. Enjoy the inaugural Notch Watch below.
Unfortunately, I left the final day of PAX East without an actual sighting of the man himself. It seems that scores of his fans could not successfully summon him via the use of their magic hats, but we're sure to see them try again at the next PAX. If I happen to be in attendance, I'll be sure to update with all the breaking Utilikilt news you can handle.

I need to get me one of those hats.
I saw one guy that I could've sworn was Notch himself. That look was so popular this year. It was crazy. The second most popular look was the lazy Minecraft creeper cosplay.
That was hilarious Dan! Good job!
Uh... I guess you call them bowler hats?
wow. haha. what an impact on the industry
