The lights are on
Welcome to Game Informer's newest video show! In Test Chamber, the Game Informer crew takes a look at the biggest releases each week.
In this episode, Game Informer's video producer Ben Hanson joins me for a look at Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles. This look dives deep into the combat system and overworld, and also gives us a somewhat startling look at how Ben dresses his video game characters. Ben also recorded the first 15 minutes of the game for your viewing pleasure. If you didn't get your fix yet, you can also check out Phil Kollar's review, and his five questions with the game's executive producer Tetsuya Takahashi.
Email the author Andrew Reiner, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
Great new show. Looking forward to more episodes.
I'm digging this new idea! I can't wait to see more of it.
And it looks like I'm sold on Xenoblade. I'm gonna have to pick it up later in the year.
Good new show!
It's baffling why Nintendo took so long to release Xenoblade Chronicles in the U.S., especially since it's apparently just a straight import of the U.K. version.
Good idea for a new show!
I love the idea of this new show. I will forever miss the Reiner and Phil show but this is a good idea to replace it =)
Looks fun
Love the new show. Looks like this will help me decide which new games to buy.
Xenoblade looks amazing. I'm definitely planning to pick it up this weekend.
This has always been one of my favorite game developers since Chrono Trigger.
I like this.. phils the whole in my GI video watching LIFE
Legend of Legaia is one of my favorites, but honestly I think the video style outside of combat would turn people off. It's actually a pretty difficult game and I think people would get sick of the random battles fairly quickly.
Yay Ben Hansen and Andy Reiner! Thanks for the look at Xenoblade, I'm really curious to pick this game up; might do that within the week. Thanks for the Game Informin!
Nice test version of a new segment! Although, it lacks the charms of Reiner and Phil...
It's like Reiner and Phil, but not as exciting...
I think Test Chamber is going to be a good successor to Reiner and Phil. I just picked this game up earlier today and I'm about 2 hours in. The game feels a bit overwhelming and daunting, but it's a lot of fun so far and I love the battle system. It's also one of the best looking Wii games I've played in a while.
Finally get to see this game in action :)
Already picked up the game, I wish they took a deeper look at the leveling and skills system.
Whenever Reiner said Hanson, I thought I heard him say handsome. I would hear "Thanks handsome" and I would think uhhh ok..... then be like ohhhhhhh thats what he said.
Nice video guys. As someone who's not all that into JRPGs, this game actually looks pretty darn good.
like the new show, game looks great
