The lights are on
The website Consumerist recently held a tournament-style campaign where fans could vote for what they think is the worst company in America. Publisher Electronic Arts won.
EA beat out Bank of America for the honor in the final round of voting. "After more than 250,000 votes, Consumerist readers ultimately decided that the type of greed exhibited by EA, which is supposed to be making the world a more fun place, is worse than Bank of America's avarice, which some would argue is the entire point of operating a bank," the website said.
Consumerist began its "Worst Company in America" reader poll in 2007. Past winners include: RIAA, Countrywide Financial, AIG, Comcast, and BP.
“We’re sure that bank presidents, oil, tobacco and weapons companies are all relieved they weren’t on the list this year," EA said in a statement sent to Game Informer. "We’re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.”

It's not that all their games are poor quality or that they have no good original software. It's mostly stuff like killing their servers after 6-12 months on 90% of their titles...
EA does not seem to understand..the issue isn't with their games its with their support of the games. They seem to have the absolute worse servers on the market which is a big deal when so much of their games is based around multi player. They also have some of the worst customer service just ask anyone that had issues with SWTOR.
If it wasn't for some very good developers they would be in serious trouble.

They may do some atrocious things in the gaming world, but honestly people? EA is not the worst company in America. I highly doubt they're actually ruining people's lives like past winners were/are.

Uh, the company i work for has lost over 30% of its stock value in the past month, cut over 800 jobs and i go to work everyday wondering if i still have a job for the past 3 years. Yea, EA not so bad really.
In case you are curious why i stay, no work stress, the people, benefits, easy money, and a 3 day work schedule.

EA's servers are terrible. How am I supposed to save the galaxy if I'm constantly being disconnected during the middle of a match? This happens more often than it doesn't.
