The lights are on
Gamers have not quite gotten over the fact that Free Radical Design was once working on Star Wars: Battlefront III before the developer shut down. The dream lives on in this leaked footage of the game's pre-alpha build.
YouTube user Borman18 has posted the footage below from a very early March 2008 360 version of the game, which has been quickly ported over from the PC. Although it's unoptimized for the console, the series normal mix of ground/air combat is in full effect.
Studios such as Pandemic and Rebellion Developments have been tied to the project since Free Radical's demise, but the game's current fate is unknown.
For details on what we'd like to see if and when Battlefront III comes out, check out our feature on the game.

Typo in the title, its BattleFRONT 3, not BattleFIELD 3. But this looks cool! I hope the game eventually gets made...
When I read the title, I thought itwas some sort of Star Wars themed
DLC for BF3. A shame it was just an error, that would probably motivate me to play more BF3.
yessss
this series is the bees knees i tell you what
IGN seems pretty confident it's buried in a deep mausoleum at...well, I don't really have a joke for this instance handy, sorry.
We need a Battlefront 3
I used to play Battlefront II all the time at my friend's house back in the day, and I remember it was tons of fun. I'm hoping a Battlefront III will come out one day.
At least since it didn't come out then we can expect better visuals if it's not all the way dead
This would have been really cool... Darn
