The lights are on
The next Rock Band game from Harmonix doesn't use instruments.
Dubbed Rock Band Blitz, the game is a call back to the developer's earlier music titles: Frequency and Amplitude. It's coming out this summer for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
The game comes with 25 songs, which are playable in Rock Band 3. Additionally, all of the imported and downloaded Rock Band songs on your console are also compatible.
Check out G4 for the trailer. We'll have our impressions from the game posted tomorrow morning.
Eh, it could go either way....hope it doesn't suck.
Amplitude was a lot of fun. Probably one of my first tastes of music games and I had a blast with it.
this seems like a bad idea...
How about just putting Frequency and Amplitude on the PSN and XBLA. Sounds like a better idea IMO.
This is a for sure buy. First of all, all my dlc is compatible? Awesome. Second, the 25 songs on this game are playable in RB3 and will be added to my library? Amazing. Even if i dont like the game its like buying a song pack. And Harmonix is an amazing developer that knows how to make awesome games. So its a for sure buy just to support them.
Looks like it will play similar to the PSP rockband that came out.
That actually sounds pretty cool! I'll be following this one closely...
It'd be nice if we could get Frequency and Amplitude on the XBLA or PSN.
i dont understand
I think I've moved beyond music games at this point. If there's a demo I might try it, but I don't see myself buying it without an awesome demo.
haha it looks so familiar!
Should come out for the Vita!!
like tthis, good idea from a dev i thought was out of them
Although the idea of playing a Rock Band game without the things that made it popular in the first place sounds like a farfetched idea, I'm willing to give this a shot and see how it actually holds up. I haven't played a music game in awhile, so it'll be nice to get in touch with them again.
People ACTUALLY still play these games? I'm shocked.
Another Rock Band!!! OMG
