This honestly doesn't surprise me. Every time I turn on my xbox I see someone on Netflix. I tip my hat to Microsoft for a successful attempt to turn the xbox into something everyone can use for enjoyment.

I'd personally rather have more exclusive games than TV services, but hey.

So how about an exclusive game series Microsoft? Or giving developers the possibility of ambitious projects like F2P or an MMO?

This is bad in so many ways. Hopefully the next gen xbox isn't a causal piece of crap because that might be where we are heading. I mean go look at Nintendo if that's not causal I don't know what causal is.

Not surprising at all. I think Microsoft should switch gold to not include online gaming. Gold is used now way more by people who want to use netflix, crackle, and the other crap a gamer has to pay for and doesn't use.

I think I know why this is: if you're like me you go to sleep watching a dvd or something and leave it on all night, equating to about 10 hours of time online spent on entertainment. Just my thinking!

Another bad sign for core gamers. MS focus is now on those services and Kinect, not core gaming. I doubt we'll see another new IP this generation from MS, just more Halo and Forza.

Yep. It's true. I use XBL for watching Netflix and HuluPlus maybe 95% more than I do online gaming.

Well done Microsoft. However, I'm still a Sony fanboy and I think the Next-Gen consoles, Sony will beat the new XBOX with PS4.

If Netflix didn't count, this would be completely wrong. Who would pay money to watch a movie where I could go to Redbox, rent it or order it on Netflix for $10 less.

I'd say at least half the time I'm on my game systems I am watching Netflix or Hulu.  I'm currently watching Mad Men trying to get caught up to watch the new season premier.  Regardless I'm paying Microsoft for it.  The more they add the smarter Microsoft is becoming.

i personally just don't find myself playing games online that much anymore. I don't want to just get on and join a random match, I'd rather play w all my friends. But most of my friends that I used to play online with pretty much everyday after school for several hours have seemingly lost interest, or found something more pressing to spend their time on. Would I love to get on and play with them, sure. But they're just not there

xbox live is pretty good, no wonder way its doing sooooo good.
