Tales Of Xillia Trademarked In The U.S.

It looks like Namco Bandai is prepping for the release of Tales Of Xillia in the States.

As spotted by Siliconera, the publisher filed a U.S. trademark for the name for use with video game software and computer game programs. The game was released in Japan last fall.

A similar trademark was also filed in Europe earlier this month. Namco hasn't made an official announcement about bringing the game overseas. The publisher is having a press event next month where a possible U.S. announcement could occur.

This is the game they should've localized instead of Tales of Graces F. Graces is such a "stopgap" title - you can always tells which ones are the "budget" releases by how dependent they are on motion capture. If they look like creepy animegao cosplayers in motion during the cutscenes, it's Namco's C-Team working on it. If they actually hand animated everything and it looks like a slick 3D anime, than it's an effort from their A-Team. Graces is a game they should've ignored. Should've just gone from Vesperia to Xillia. I'm looking forward to this.

This is great news! I loved Vesperia and I'm really digging Tales of Graces F so far. I hope this means that Namcobandai has increased its support for Tales games in the West.

I will actually welcome this news. Tales of Graces f is awesome so far, and I've always been a fan of the Tales series (with the exception of the Symphonia sequel but we shan't bring that one up). I wish Vesperia was on the PS3 (I own it for 360, but I don't have the 360 hooked up anymore). I was already really looking forward to Namco Bandai's press event because of the Dark Souls news, now I've even more reason to be excited.
