The lights are on
Update April 7: Bethesda still has no comment on this rumored report.
Original Story posted March 23: A rumor surfaced this afternoon that suggests Prey 2 from Human Head Studios has been cancelled.
Netherlands-based PSFocus says sources told the website that Bethesda will release an official statement next week regarding the game's cancellation. Bethesda representatives told Game Informer they have no comment on this report.
Lending credence to the rumor, the development team was originally supposed to give talks at the Game Developers Conference earlier this month about Prey 2, but they were cancelled weeks before the event.
We'll let you know if we hear anything new about its rumored cancellation.
Man..."Sigh"...Ive been looking forward to this.
Goodbye Blade Runner the Game.
Wait, wouldn't Bethesda have ALL of the Earth's money after Skyrim?
I hope this game pulls through, it had a cool setting.
Please don't be true.
No, no, no, no. Pleeeease don't cancel it. This is one of my most anticipated games.
Damn.. I really hope they don't... I was really looking forward to this game.. Running around.. Blowing up *** and capturing alien baddies sounds like a hell of a good time to me. I hope its just a ploy to see if people are still interested in the game.
i have doubts about this being true.....and if it is it will likely get picked up pretty quick by someone else. The E3 demo footage looked pretty awesome.
But why? I mean, it has to be pretty close to being done, right? Well, if this is true, it sucks. I was all excited to be a Blade Hunter, running around a vertical landscape, flinging my electrified bola at aliens. :(
This better not be true I was really looking forward to this game.
This sucks, I hope this rumor isn't true.
NOOOOOOO! I was pumped for this. Damn it.
a truly original idea for a super cool game (maybe) gets cancelled. call of duty 9,10,... do not. the world is evil
I wonder if this means that Bethesda is no longer working with Human Head Studios entirely. If so, then I feel really bad for their employees. According to their website, they have not had a game published since 2006, including both electronic and non-electronic games. Even their homepage has a big announcement for new jobs opening up. It's a bummer to anticipate bad news, for the company, and, from the comments I've read here, for the gaming community too. It appears that Prey 2 had a pretty good buzz.
This game was looking so cool though...
sucks... was looking forward to this.
