The lights are on
Pixar's upcoming movie Brave is hitting theaters this summer, and Disney Pixar has announced that a game is in the works, too. In Brave: The Video Game, players will take on the role of Merida, the game's spunky heroine. If that doesn't float your boat, you can also play as a bear.
“We’re excited to offer a compelling game across multiple platforms for fans of the upcoming Disney Pixar film ‘Brave.’ Whether gamers want to play on their own or with others, they can relive highlights from Merida’s journey and go on new adventures inspired by the legends of Scotland and Disney Pixar storytelling,” said Javier Ferreira, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. “With Kinect for Xbox 360 and Move on the PlayStation 3, gamers will feel like they are using a bow and arrow in an archery range and have a truly immersive experience.”
A family friendly co-op based game sounds fine, but the game's Bear Mode sounds particularly interesting. Disney Pixar isn't saying much about it at this point, aside from the fact that "players will be able to play as a bear." OK then. Look for Brave: The Video Game on the DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this summer.

movie looks awesome, the video game slightly less so.
The only good Disney games were those during and before the 16 bit era
A Disney-fied Braveheart?
there should should be a videogame based on Braveheart.
If only the games matched Pixar's movie quality, but who knows, it'll likely be mediocre at best. The film looks amazing though, day 1 for me.
Pixar is such an amazing studio. They have some of the greatest talent in the film industry. They seem to hit that perfect balance by making products anyone of any age can enjoy and appreciate.
So far, Pixar has delivered a lot of better than average movie games. I loved Toy Story 3's game, so I have my fingers crossed. . .
I wish movie games where popular back when brother bear released, would have been a good bear game.
huh... this movie looks amazing, game , not to sure about.
Could be what PS3 Move and Xbox 360 Kinect need for a truly great motion game. Also, will it be ALL motion controls?
Here is hoping that Brave: The Videogame is actually good.
Because we all get excited for the high-quality content Disney gives us, just looks at the incredible Disney Channel, or the greatness of Mars Needs Moms! In all seriousness, Pixar movies are the only good thing coming out of Disney, and Disney just bought them! Steve Jobs brought Pixar into existence.
