BioWare Offers Multiplayer Statistics For Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 has only been available for 10 full days, but players have already spent a cumulative 1,800 years in the multiplayer mode.

You can click the image above to see a larger version to take a closer look, but some of my favorite stats are, "less than 1% of all successful multiplayer matches are completed on Gold difficulty," and, "33% of matches end in failed extraction." I actually would have thought the latter statistic would have been higher, but maybe I am just terrible at Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.

  • I actually had fun with it. I was surprised and found myself playing it a lot.
  • I have nightmares about phantoms. But I fear the final wave of reapers more, with brutes and banshees combined. Yeeeeeuch. I feel like I'm an expert on Bronze, but as soon as I go up to Silver, I fail on wace 3, EVERY.TIME.
  • With no one working on Gold difficulty all that much (according to this spreadsheet) it doesn't shock me at all that only 33% of the time the map is failed. Compared to Gold, Bronze and Silver are cake! Gold is just another cut above! I have yet to make it through a Gold Mission myself.
  • I can understand why the Gold success is so low, especially against Reapers. Those Banshees give me nightmares
  • This is awesome, I recently started playing multiplayer and it's awesome!

  • I LOVE MASS EFFECT AND I JUST GAVE MY DOG A BATH
  • Wow and I only currently play as either an engineer or adept. Not much of anything else until I unlock some more races. And my favorite race, from the ones I've played would be the Krogan. Had one in the demo and miss the heck out of it.
  • why can't I import my character into multiplayer with a mask on and all my guns and armour all my stats and skills now that I've beaten the game!!
  • That's crazy. Out of all the shooters out there, this many would waste time with Mass Effect? It's ...serviceable, sure. But there are SO MANY DEDICATED shooters out there, people. Everything from Gears of War to Binary Domain are better. Noticeably. If you want to shoot people, go play a shooter.
  • Bioware can suck my n***

    eidt: or EA...

    Mostly EA
  • i play multiplayer every tiem i turn the game on before I jump in to single player. it helps with the war readiness and it's fun
  • I don't think anyone expected the multiplayer to be as successful and fun as it is.
  • Pretty good multiplayer considering it's new to the series.

  • Surprisingly, as someone who was against the multiplayer from the day it was announced, I cannot say anything bad about it at all. Fun little mode that is a definite time killer and works well.

Beyond the fact that I was right about having to do the MP to get the best SP ending (As of now and what I know from sources, you cannot find enough assets to get the 5000 assets ending without MP).

Hell, beyond the fact that it hardly matters anyway because the Sp ending is less than desirable.

I never thought that my complaints would be targeted towards other areas of Mass Effect 3. I enjoy the MP quite a bit.
  • And how much real cash has been wasted on scam packs? Lol.
  • The multiplayer mode is a lot better than I thought it would be. I was afraid that it would be something that would feel like a slapped-on afterthought, but it actually fits Mass Effect pretty well. Still haven't graduated past Bronze, though, but I haven't had much time to play.

  • I had fun with it too. It played well - I hope to see more mission variances released in future titles. That being said, I completely stopped playing it when I relized I had gotten my Galactic Readiness level high engouh to make the final push. Does the multiplayer progress earned toward Galactic Readiness transfer to a second playthrough? ie, if I earned 30% Readiness, will I start a second playthrough at 80%?
  • Infiltrator, Human. Torn between the Incisor and the Raptor
  • I wouldn't mind those Phantons if they didn't occasionally one-hit-kill me from about 10 feet away. I swear, I see one, run down a hallway, and suddenly there's a sword through me anyway.
  • 83 billion credits? The Illusive Man can make a small personal army of Shepards....
