The lights are on
YouTube user Omega52 finally fixed the biggest problem with Battlefield 3: the music and sound effects are too modern.
All those amazing gunfire and explosion sound effects were okay, I guess, but now you can hear the game as it was truly meant to sound: like a game that released in 1986.
Seeing that video reminds of this Half-Life modding gem, where all the sound effects are replaced by the Michael Winslow (the sound effects guy from the Police Academy films) of video game fan YouTube users.
Thanks to Matt for the news tip, who worded it best by saying, "this isn't news, but holy crap is it amazing."

Thats one of those things were its only funny for like a second.
That was definitely amusing.
Both were funny, but got annoying. Then again I do have a bit of a headache
This is the stupidest *** ever
I want this game!!!
That is awesome, I would totally play the game like that.
The Battlefield one is pretty amazing, love the Contra sound effects.
Didn't find the Half-Life one to be particularly amusing.
This... is Awesome!
I WANT IT NAO
I was a bit confused about the Half Life 2 thing. It didn't resemble BF3 at all. To me, It seems irrelevant to the topic.
I'm going to play Battlefield right now.
cmon modders, make this happen
It's cool, but It would eventually get annoying.
That might be the greatest mod in the history of mods.
The soundtrack and effects this gam are amazing.
Awesome, I would totally play the game that way for fun. It brings me back to the good old NES days.
it does feel much better, like a pumped up Contra
