The lights are on
YouTube user Omega52 finally fixed the biggest problem with Battlefield 3: the music and sound effects are too modern.
All those amazing gunfire and explosion sound effects were okay, I guess, but now you can hear the game as it was truly meant to sound: like a game that released in 1986.
Seeing that video reminds of this Half-Life modding gem, where all the sound effects are replaced by the Michael Winslow (the sound effects guy from the Police Academy films) of video game fan YouTube users.
Thanks to Matt for the news tip, who worded it best by saying, "this isn't news, but holy crap is it amazing."

I was thinking about how I wanted to replace all of the sounds in Team Fortress 2 with me doing the sound effects and it reminded me of that Half-Life 2 video. XD
Sweet.
I'd play Battlefield a lot more often if these sound effects were on the Xbox version.
I would seriously play both games with those sound effects, and never change them back.
Seriously awesome!
DICE needs to release DLC of this....I would buy it in a second!!! lol its awesome

Wow, and to think i was about to hack them to do this... huh... thanks for saving me the trouble...lol
