Wasteland 2 Already Funded
In two days, the Wasteland sequel Kickstarter project has already reached its goal.
The project currently sits at $1,170,326. The original goal was $900,000. "We are funded and Wasteland 2 is a reality. A dream that began more than 20 years ago has actually come true," inXile said. "After years of attempting to get Wasteland 2 kicked off and countless pitch meetings to every major publisher out there, we had almost given up.
"Even six months ago we didn’t see any way that Wasteland 2 was ever going to happen. Then the world suddenly changed."
The game will be localized into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Polish. If the project reached $1.5 million, a Linux and Mac OSX version will be developed.
inXile said it hopes to have the game ready for release in October 2013.
