The lights are on
EA said today that SEGA will begin offering its PC titles through its digital store Origin. The first title being offered, Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai, is now available for pre-order.
"By partnering with publishers like SEGA, we're able to bring even more of the industry's best games to players on Origin," said Craig Rechenmacher, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for Origin. "With 11 million registered users around the world, Origin is fast becoming the destination for consumers looking for fresh new content to play with their friends."
Other additions announced today include Team 17 Software Limited,
Rebellion, Kalypso Media Digital Ltd. and more. The total number of game
publishers and developers on Origin to 35 partners, EA said. PC titles
from these partners will be available on Origin in the coming months, the publisher added.
GABE NEWELL all the way! origin needs to make so many improvements in game selection.. they have so many sales because no one will buy their games.. I always get from steam
not a fan of origin at all but its a smart ove for sega to have thre games there and not just steam i mean more options tend to mean more sales.
Question- is this stuff gonna only be available on origins? Secondly
Yeah great one forcing players to have to use it with the games on it.
I quite like Origin. However, it's offline mode is a problem for me. I don't know about other games, but when I start up ME3, I need to be connected to the internet because it needs to validate my DLCs. This is incredibly annoying. Understandable, but annoying.
I am surprised that so many publishers are going with a different publishers [EA] download service. They will only end up giving a share of their profits to a competitor
If the retailer versions require origins from now on then it´s goodbye SEGA will never put up with origins, I hate steam but at least it doesn´t scan my entie computer for things that have nothing to do with gaming.
Yea what is up Sega because EA is your enemy and that is coming from a loyal fan who knows the games made by you are better.
I have no problem with Sega partnering up with Origin. My question is, when is Origin gonna be out of the 'beta' stage?
