Details On Playing Guild Wars 2 Early & Collector's Edition

by Matthew Kato on Mar 13, 2012 at 04:39 AM

NCsoft is giving Guild Wars 2 fans ways to experience the game early – including a three-day head-start via its own pre-purchase program.

Starting April 10 you can pre-purchase the standard ($59.99), Digital Deluxe ($79.99), or Collector's Edition ($149.99) of the game. This will garner you a three-day headstart on everyone else when the game launches, invites to all-beta weekend events, and an exclusive Hero's Band (which confers various power boosts).

Even if you pre-order the game instead of pre-purchasing it, NCsoft is still giving you a one day head-start before the game officially launches sometime in 2012.

The Guild Wars 2 Collector's Edition (above) includes:

  • The game in a collectible metal box
  • Hand-painted, 10-inch statue of the bestial warrior Rytlock Brimstone wielding his signature flaming sword
  • A custom frame and five stunning Guild Wars 2 art prints from world-renowned artists
  • 112-page Making of Guild Wars 2 hardback book
  • Best of Guild Wars 2 soundtrack CD by award-winning composer Jeremy Soule
  • Five in-game items, including a Mistfire Wolf that will fight alongside players and a miniature Rytlock who will accompany them on their travels through Tyria

The Digital Deluxe Edition Includes:

  • The game
  • Summon Mistfire Wolf elite skill
  • Rytlock miniature
  • A Golem Banker for five days
  • Chalice of Glory for one-time use
  • Tome of Influence for one-time use to give your guild more influence
