The lights are on
UPDATE: We received the following official comment from Ubisoft:
"David Sears is no longer on the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots team and the new Creative Director is Jean-Sebastien Decant. The development team is still hard at work to deliver the next installment of the revered Tom Clancy series and more details on the game will be revealed at a later date."
ORIGINAL STORY: When Ubisoft first pitched Rainbow 6 Patriots as a potential cover story, we were immediately drawn in by its unique approach to storytelling. Embracing some of the narrative techniques of Heavy Rain and shifting the player perspective between Team Rainbow, the True Patriots, and the civilians caught in the crossfire convinced us that this was a project worth backing. Now it seems Ubisoft could be going in another direction.
According to our sources, Ubisoft Montreal has restructured the development team, removing creative director David Sears, narrative director Richard Rouse III, lead designer Philippe Therien, and animation director Brent George from the project, all of whom we interviewed for our Rainbow 6 Patriots cover story.
Rainbow 6 Patriots is tentatively scheduled to release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. How this shakeup affects the rest of the development remains to be seen. We have reached out to Ubisoft for a comment.

UBISOFT!!!! *Shakes Fist*
Someone forgot their logic before heading into work at Ubisoft.
That sucks, this was one of the few modern combat games I was looking forward to. Hopefully it still works out and stands out from the other modern combat shooters.
I was quite excited about this game but to know that the people in charge of such important things have been let go makes me not so sure about the game.
Thats not good.
In the interview they all seemed genuinely exited about making the game.
Hope it wont be some corporate *** that takes over.
Must be a LOT of dead bodies.
Bad feeling about this; I was excited for this game after the reveal, looked really awesome and more than promising. But now...I don't know, why where they decapitated like that?
I've been waiting so long for a new Vegas game. I was so pumped when I heard about Patriots, this better not disappoint :c
Well we'll see how this affects the game, I hope very little since it's infrequent that I get excited for a modern FPS
Damn, and I was looking forward to this game.
OH CRIPE!
