See Your Legacy In Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 1.2 Trailer

by Phil Kollar on Mar 06, 2012 at 03:20 PM

If you've been waiting for a major update to BioWare's recently launched MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, I have good news. You won't need to wait much longer, and you can get your first glimpse here.

Titled "Legacy," Update 1.2's biggest addition to The Old Republic will be the improved legacy system, which was technically in the game at launch but only barely. The newly-fleshed-out legacy system will allow you to make different characters related to each other, which will in turn unlock special legacy powers and bonuses.

The update will also include a new operation, flashpoint, and warzone, improved UI customization, the addition of guild banks, and a ton of other myriad improvements -- right down to new lightsaber colors. You can get a quick look at all the stuff being added to the game in the trailer below.

BioWare hasn't announced an official release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 1.2, but they're aiming for some time in the next couple of months. Stay tuned.
