The lights are on
The publisher is apparently so happy about the engine that powers Battlefield 3 that it is creating a whole studio focused on exploiting the technology.According to an invite sent out to Game Developers Conference attendees, EA Gothenburg is being introduced at a meet-and-greet this week in San Francisco as the company tries to lure talent to the new studio. The first title Gothenburg will be developing is being kept behind a non-disclosure agreement that prospective job seekers are required to sign at the event on Wednesday.More Frostbite 2 engine games is something we can get behind; Battlefield 3 certainly didn't suffer from a lack of visual quality. What are you hoping that EA makes with the technology?
GIVE US MIRROR'S EDGE 2!!!!!!!!!!!
Personally I'm getting tired on people yelling about making Engines for better graphics. Does your gaming life center so much around how a game looks that it takes away from Gameplay?
Personally, for me, I couldn't be happier with Frostbite2. Battlefield is the only game to keep me playing this long, and a huge part of it is that i can destroy random buildings.
EA makes the best graphics. the frostbite engine is AMAZING!!!
That is cool. I'm just hoping we'll be seeing more than just FPS.
Fingers crossed for another Battlefield 2142. :) And a Medal of Honor that returns us to the story of James Patterson.
Great idea. I wanna see an array of different types of games
How about a Frostbite 2 powered new Road Rash? That would be kind of awesome. That game should come back in some form with actual physics-based crashes.
Mirror's Edge 2. This must take priority.
frosbite 2 is a really impressive engine! Battlefield 3 looked amazing
A good game for once..
frostbite is an incredible engine and i honestly cannot wait to see what else they can come up with.
Dead Space 3 :DDD
As long as it's not another shooter, I'll be happy.
Not a bad idea. It's a great engine from everything I've seen thus far. I'm definitely excited to see more from the Frostbite 2 engine.
Seems like EA is going to make everything with this. Its going to become their very own Unreal engine.
Good, I love how good BF3 looked, can't hurt to get more of that.
