The lights are on
Dene and Simon Carter, who, alongside Lionhead's Peter Molyneux, created the Fable franchise, have formed a new studio with some former colleagues. The studio is called Another Place Productions. The Carters were the founders of Big Blue Box, which became one of the first Lionhead "satellite studios" and developed the original Fable. Simon had a long history with Molyneux, having worked with him in Molyneux's previous company Bullfrog Productions. The pair had left Lionhead last year to pursue other opportunities. At the time, they said their new venture would focus on games for emerging platforms like Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and mobile. They are joined at Another Place Productions by ex-Lionhead technical director Guilaume Portes and executive producer Jeremie Texier.

Ah, multiplatform. Curious to see what they do know.
Well...don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing. Really Lionhead Studios I can respect on taking ideas that are rather different but really trying to put them into practice. They just come up short. Fable is a clear showing of this.
Fable 1 was a great game but it still had its flaws that were fixed partly from an add-on.
Fable 2 had so much hope but it still dropped the ball greatly in a lot of areas. Yet it was still a good game.
Fable 3...don't get me started. It is a good game at the beginning but after that...it fails badly. There should have been a crap load more to do at the Endgame. Yet really in the end....the Endgame was just that...and Endgame and not much more. Also the weapon upgrade system SUCKED.
Also with this new Fable Kinect game has me really really worried...even then....I haven't heard anything about it since E3..last year? Or was it two years ago -shrugs-. Now going around with working on Fable IV? Geez...what will they do World War I theme? ...You know that would be interesting really as WWI has never been touched in any shape or form besides Flying Sims.
So I with Lionhead Studios losing some talented people and a new production company being made. I still wish them both luck in the end as that is what is great about the gaming world. Always loads of production companies trying to one-up each other. We as the gamers enjoy that.
Well I'm glad they got off that broken bandwagon. Maybe they can work on making a game that doesn't suck like Fable III.
I'm pretty curious to see what will come of this.
"Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and mobile."
Makes me think of low production value games that rake in disgusting amounts of money for the miniscule amount of effort needed.
So many devs leaves their companies recently. It's so good knowing that more and more people are going independent!
Good for them, it must suck when a big company forces you to work on the same IP (Fable) over and over again. Be free my children, and let your creativity explode!
The will be on PSN, Xbox LIVE, Pc, And Mobile awesome all systems unite!!!!!!
ms need to loosen up a bit and let his studios do other projects..they get tired of doing the same thing over and over and the quality disappears after a while and fable has gone thru it...i wish them good luck on their future endevours...
If they were the minds behind the original fable and now they are free of the tyranny of Moleneux, this could be good.
