The lights are on
Gamers will be able to discover Columbia this fall when developer Irrational Games and publisher 2K Games release BioShock Infinite.
The game comes out simultaneously for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 16 in North America.
“After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition,” said Ken Levine creative director of Irrational Games. “BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on it.”

Well well well! It's about time! I'm so excited for this game! I hope they have a killer Special Edition like Bioshock2 had!
I REALLY WANT THIS GAME! ITS GOING TO BE SO EPIC!
I saw this on twitter, they made it seem like they just decided to do this based on a whim.
October seems like forever.
Hell yeah!
My wallet thanks you, Hopefully I can pull myself away from Guild Wars 2 to give this game the time it deserves. Thank you again for not launching during the holiday release, that trend needs to stop, I always end up with a backlog and the pressure to just make quick run throughs so I can play the next one...I don't like that...
Cool looking forward to this game!
sweet, this AND AC 3 in one month. October is going to be awesome.
Can not wait for this game, hopefully it will be as amazing or even more than the first one!
BROUGHT!!!!
WHOOO!!!!!!!!
That was my Cole Train impersonation.
Didnt Irrational say they were making infinite for the VITA as well?
Still doesn't get here for me to play before taking off for college...
Looking like a good title, going to miss Rapture, I just love that environment. It was my favorite "Character" of the first two games, but I can't wait to see what's ahead.
Four letter word here: NICE!!!!!!
I can't believe they aren't releasing this until October! It's great that Irrational Games wants to make sure they release a polished and masterful final product, but since they announced it a year and a half ago I have been slowly losing interest. When they said 2012 I thought they meant a June release at the latest. Next time I would advise a later announcement and then a release date within a year of the announcement. Expectations are now even higher and I hope this title will live up to the original. I have faith inIrrational Games, but the gaming industry needs to get on top of these release dates! I'm looking at you GTA V, Max Payne 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines etc.
Way too far away! I was gonna flip my chips if I didn't at least find out when it will be here!
