The lights are on
Both Microsoft and Sony have been downplaying the immediacy of the next-generation of consoles, but a new batch of systems is certainly inevitable. A tweet from a Crytek developer suggests that studios are working on something.
Sean Tracy, a technical designer with Crytek, tweeted, "Enjoying the Durango developers summit in London. So far, great swag and interesting talks." The tweet has since been taken down.
Durango is the rumored codename for the next Xbox, and although Microsoft hasn't announced anything regarding a successor to the Xbox 360, any console manufacturer would do well to loop in developers as soon as they could.

I'm not telling Crytek about your surprise bday party.
I dont want the system to not be able to read used games. that is a stupid idea
Tweet taken down? c'mon. this is probably the worst kept secret in the industry. Microsoft is better off just announcing it exists already. Are you really trying to save it for E3 when the reaction will just end up being, "tell me something I don't know..."
Nice. Can't wait to see how much more powerfull these consoles will be.
Wow. Interesting I wonder if the Sean Tracy guy got fired. XD I'm sure he didn't.
They should call it the xbox 3600 (thirty-six hundred), a throwback to the Atari days
I'm ready for a new Xbox with all the pre-release hype and the new IPs that always come with a new generation of consoles.
worse kept secret system ever. comeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee on e3 roll out a win.
Sweet.
They should just leave it Durango. hahah
that's ok because in about six to eight months I'll be playing on my brand new Wii U:p
"Leaked rumors". Sureee :P
Hopefully the next Xbox is coming soon, like next year soon.
Secrets always leak, but I don't think this one is a big deal.
