Weekend Warrior 02/24/12
Maybe we’re in a rut. Some of us have been doing the same thing every weekend for as long as we can remember. But when your rut is this good, it’s hard to complain.
Tim Turi: This weekend I’ll hopefully be wrapping up my time in Jak 3, continuing Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, and beginning Asura’s Wrath. I’ve been in love with Capcom’s over-the-top action game since I first played it at E3 2011, and can’t wait to see the final product.
Jeff Marchiafava: This weekend I really want to finish Saints Row: The Third. For real this time. I’m not even joking. I’m going to put that game in my Xbox 360, and play it until it’s done. Completely. Forever. Or I’ll play more Skate 3 and Pinball FX 2, just for sh*ts and giggles.
Joe Juba: I'm getting super-close to hitting 100% completion on Final Fantasy XIII-2 – I just have some bestiary and casino stuff to wrap up. Once that's finished, I'll probably hop back into Mass Effect 2 in preparation for the launch of Mass Effect 3. I've already done Paragon and Renegade playthroughs, so this time I'm going for the all-kill route; I want to kill the maximum number of party members and Normandy crew while still having Shepard survive. Thankfully, there's a guide to help me out.
Jeff Cork: I’m knee-deep in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and I don’t see any end in sight. Everywhere I go, I see people with exclamation points over their heads. As an OCD gamer, it means I may never see the end credits on this one. Also, I’ll play a ton of Pinball FX 2, because it’s what I do.
Ben Hanson: I don't have much on my plate this weekend when it comes to games. There's no doubt that I'll continue my steamy love affair with Hero Academy and Triple Town. Also, thanks to Matt Kato, I now have a surround sound system in my living room and my eyes have been opened – or ears or something. I hope to finish my second playthrough of Mass Effect 2 this weekend on full volume with Garrus screaming in my ear from behind my lazyboy.
Kyle Hilliard: I will be attending a party for dancing, working on a 3DS review, talking myself out of buying a Vita (I'm trying to wait as long as I can), and playing Jak II and Rhythm Heaven Fever, possibly at the same time.
Dan Ryckert: Drinking! Video games!
Phil Kollar: I’ve got a busy gaming weekend planned! Now that I’ve wrapped up the original Alan Wake DLC, I’m hoping to blast through Alan Wake’s American Nightmare tomorrow. After that, the rest of the weekend is devoted to working on my Mass Effect 2 insanity run. ME 3 is almost here, so I’ve got to move fast! I also grabbed a copy of Syndicate from the office to check out, so maybe I’ll take a break from shooting dudes in space to shoot some dudes in a dark, cyberpunk future.
