The lights are on
One of the best original PlayStation strategy games is now available on iPad, Square Enix announced today.
Priced at $17.99, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is a re-release of the 2007 PSP title with added features, such as new cut scenes, scenarios and jobs. An iPhone version was released late last year.

Square Enix says the original 1997 game has sold 2.7 million copies worldwide.

This is surely the best PSP game that was ever launched, but for iPad the controls became a bit annoying =/ not worth to buy it on iPad for such price.
Such an amazing game. However, this game came out in 1997 or 98 for the PS and was re-released for the PSP in 2007.
Quick update: Its graphics are literally the quality of the iPhone version blown up - x2 button style. Along with bugs that make it difficult to play and fairly consistent crashes that make it impossible to progress without several (3+) attempts during some fights, this app is a fantastic waste of money at the moment.
Wait until they've ironed out all of the bugs and either dropped the price or improved the resolution of the game: as it stands this iteration is a really big disappointment.
This has to be false. I bought this game for my iPad on 1/18/12.
alas not all of us can afford the ipad...but when you have the original game and system you don't need one :P
