I saw somebody playing this on their iPad during class last semester so I thought this had been out on iPad for a while. I guess they were emulating the iPhone (or PSP) version. I would rather play it on the PSP (or PS1), but I guess if you don't have a PSP or an iPhone and you happen to have an iPad, this is a great way to play a great game.

$17.99? This is one of my all time favorite games, but that's pretty steep for a 15 year old game that's been ported 4 times.

I have the game for PSP.  It's pretty fun!

Alas, I can't afford an Ipad... but I gotta Gaming PC, PS3, & 3DS, so i'm not bad off. ;)

One of the greatest games ever made! I've probably beat the original version around 20 times...

I play this on my psp all the time, love it.

I could see how the touch-screen functionality would probably streamline gameplay quite a bit.  You touch a unit to see its range of movement, you touch anywhere within its range movement to move it to that spot.  Select an ability to see the range of attack, tap any target in that range to execute the attack.  I imagine that would feel very natural for the style of gameplay.  But I don't have an iPad, and I have no interest in getting iPad, so...

No Android release? My Asus Eee Pad cries out for some games!

too expensive and not worth it..this game can be bought on other support for cheaper, such as ps1, ds etc

I loved this game.  It's hands down of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time.
