The lights are on
Do you remember the big, burly sprites of WWF Wrestlefrest duking it out in the arcades of the 1990s? Well, regardless of your level of nostalgia for quarter-gobbling grapples, THQ is unleashing an updated tribute to the game on iOS platforms.
You can kick and suplex your way through a progressive Road to Wrestlemania and other modes as John Cena, The Rock, Randy Orton, Stone Cold, The Undertaker, Jake "The Snake," and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Future DLC characters include CM Punk, Triple H, Sheamus, Shawn Michaels, and Big Boss Man.While the game is only available on the iPhone/iPad right now, THQ confirms versions of WWE Wrestlefest will arrive on XBLA, PSN, Android platforms, and PC later this year.

Slightly disappointed as it appears some of the original cast will be missing from the remake unless that changes with the console versions.
Either way this was one of my favorite wrestling games back in the day.
Macho Man lives on! Loved this game as a kid in the arcades but don't care much for the newer roster. Would like to see a demo. Steel cage would be sweet too.
Bring them all back. the good days of gaming
I loved this game so much when I was younger, this remake really doesn't look good to me. I loved that old Technos style and the new roster is disappointing as well.
It looks alright, but nothing will ever beat the original unless this is free
The "Winners don't use drugs" opening is too funny, considering the sport it's attached to. This updated version actually looks worse. The best part of the original is how brutal clotheslines looked. THE WAAARRRRIOORR!!!
The Legion of Doom (i.e. The Road Warriors) were so freaking cheap. Quarter munchers FTW!
Where's Dan Ryckert? He must flipping out right now.
I don't see any replay value in this title at all. I became bored of the game even after watching 45 seconds of the match.
I would have been more interested in a direct port of the original. Now THAT arcade machine had a ton of my quarters in it's belly.
Pretty funny how they updated the graphics, and nothing else. Makes it look terrible, can you imagine if other games had sharp HD graphics but used animations from the '90's?
Always with the DLC.
As long as i can play as a mineral, aka the rock, im good
I almost started to go on a rant about the lack of android support since I was already fired up over the new Max Payne not supporting android. So it will come to us later this year which is better than never at all. Fair enough, but I am getting annoyed about always coming in second to iOS
I always liked the arcade version because to me it was an exotic and more up to date version of Wrestlemania for the NES. God, I loved that game
Would like for this to come to android market.
