Angry Birds Space Announced

One of the most played games in the world is headed to space. Rovio will launch Angry Brirds Space on March 22, the developer said.

This is a completely new game, not an expansion, with new physics and gameplay elements, such as slow-motion puzzles and "lightspeed" destruction.  Rovio GM Andrew Stalbow said both NASA and National Geographic will be launch partners for the game.

Angry Birds Space is getting massive push at launch across mobile gaming, retail, and animation channels.

    As you launch the birds, do they yell "SPAAAAAAAACE!!" ?

    Anyways, cool, although I am getting tired of those birds; when will they ever seek help? I think the development team could do a lot of really fun easter-eggs in this one; there's so much classic sci-fi lore to reference.

    As long as it's an actual new game rather than a repackage with extra levels/ costumes than I'm fine

    *Snicker* Angry Birds... in SPAAAACCCEE! ;P Well, who knows... it might work. :) If not, then watching Angry Birds blow up from decompression might still make for funny sights! :D

    Huh, I like it! One of the better games on the Ipod! can't wait to see this game in action... wait, it's going to be like that last angry birds.. okay, I can deal with this.

    Phew! At first I thought this was gonna be a Dead Space tie-in. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I could totally imagine EA doing some stupid licensing deal like that.

    Really? This is necessary...why? I mean, I liked Angry Birds, but this is just ridiculous. How many spin-offs is that now?
