The lights are on
According to French website Gameblog.fr, Amazon France recently published then removed a product listing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Upon posting the story, Activision France reportedly told the website to remove the story or face being blacklisted from future media events. Gameblog kept the story up, and apparently were then uninvited from an upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron preview event and planned advertising was pulled.
Activision said earlier this month it plans to release a new Call of Duty title this year and recently registered the BlackOps2.com domain name.
We contacted Activision for clarification on this story. We'll update this post when we hear back.
[Update]: Joystiq spotted a developer resume online that cites Call of Duty Black Ops 2.

-_-.... did they really need to uninvite them? The surprise, assuming that's what they wanted it to be, is over. Lol they just suck at keeping secrets like announcing your making a new COD won't give it away. I think penalizing Gameblog was too much personally
Yeeesss, thank you Treyarch. Since I liked Black-Ops a lot, I think I'll be looking forward to this.
But, THIS IS THE LAST TIME I BUY A COD PRODUCT, until I see some actual innovation for the series.
(ED note: This is a lie, he is a complete tool)
No Reallyyy
The first Black Ops was bad. Why make another? The next Call of Duty won't even beat Modern Warfare 2's sales because the new Grand Theft Auto comes out this year. I only like the Modern Warfares in the Call of Duty series.
Thats because Activision is against anything original.
I should care why?I still have MW3 and don't plan on stopping, except to trade it in for BF3, so no thanks on another CoD.
i will only get this if it has zombies, and they give zombies their own campaign. like the end of the world type of thing!! and more of a story to it........ and more maps and bigger ones too?
So Black Ops 2 it is, then!
Blacklisted from a Transformers game? That's not that bad considering how mediocre they've been
Don't worry guys, I'm sure it will be a much different game this time.
Ooo, I read this a bit late but at least I managed to snag a domain (callofdutyblackops-2.com) - lets hope that it is indeed Black Ops 2.
I quite enjoyed Call Of Duty: Black Ops so I'm glad it's getting a sequel.
Too many people put Black Ops in the same category as Modern Warfare. Treyarch just seems to handle what is left of the Call of Duty name better than Infinity Ward.
Why a sequel? the series clearly needs something new ><
Give me more call of duty all day everyday hate all you want
