Real-life cars are a staple of sim-based racing titles such as Forza Motorsport 4, and getting those cars in the game takes more than simply signing some licensing paperwork.

Check out this video from developer Turn 10 documenting what it takes to put cars into the game, as well as for its showroom-based Autovista mode.

so what you are telling me is that they ruin the paint job and the milage on expensive perfectly good cars just to put them in the game! thats just rediculous! that is why i only play street racing games other than gran turismo. cause they don't ruin cars to make the game.

I dream of a day when a discussions about Forza or Gran Turismo can come up with fanboys of the opposing game/console coming in to trash the games. Gamers are the most insecure, childish people on the planet earth.

btw, awesome vid. It's awesome to see how pasionate they are about making their cars and tracks. Forza 4 imo is a top 5 game this gen and definitely GOTY 2011 for me.
