New DLC Suggested for Assassin's Creed: Revelations

It looks like Ubisoft could be planning more Assassin's Creed: Revelations DLC, as well as another edition of the game.

Xbox 360 Achievements appears to have found achievements that point to a single-player focused DLC involving Desmond and more block jumping segments.

In related news, different global retailers have also mentioned something called the Assassin's Creed: Revelations Ottoman Edition that contains the game itself as well as DLC. This would appear to be a sort of Game of the Year Edition, but we'll have to wait for more details and to see if it's something that is also releasing in the U.S.

  • Pretty awesome! I hope it is good.
  • All this DLC is cool, but I want AC 3 announced already. The last AC game I bought was Brotherhood, didn't want to buy Revelations really.
  • hopefully a lil more altair lol hes awesome.
  • the part where you play desmond jumping on blocks in fp was sooo stupid. please dont make another dlc for that.
  • F*ck you ubisoft. I used to respect you but now I see you're doing nothing but milk this game and on purposely holding back content to release it for over priced DLC. That's a real di** move. Get rid of multiplayer and focus on the thing that made AC popular in the first place, the story.
  • They could take the opportunity to fix that tiny little issue of Desmond looking like sh*t.
  • Hm. I'd like more DLC since I felt that that game was too short, compared to the other ones in the series anyway, but if it's just more of those first-person Desmond scenes I'm not too excited about it. Now, if they'd just release Desmond's jacket and/or shirt into retail, I'd be happy.
  • I got Revelations during the first week it came out, beat the story, got to lvl 20 in the multiplayer and subsequently traded it in. Now I'm sort of regretting it after seeing all this new DLC come out but if I happen to see a copy for a reduced price (no more than $30 though) or if this new "Ottoman Edition" has a substantial amount of cool new content, I might just pick it back up.

I still hope however that AC3 has at least some form of co-op multiplayer as the standard competitive format, despite having several different modes and a unique AC approach, gets old for me fast.

  • Haven't played an AC game past AC II. I'll get to Brotherhood eventually.
  • It better have more than that Desmond crap!  I'd appreciate more story missions like in AC II and AC: Brotherhood.

  • love assassians creed make it happen!

  • this is great and all , but when are we getting our skyrim DLC

  • I hope the DLC is similar to The Da Vinci Disappearance. That is one of the finest examples of DLC done right.
  • something besides useless multiplayer skins would be nice. . . .

  • Am I the only one who thought Desmond's block jumping segments were kinda fun? For first-person platforming, I thought it handled pretty well and had some interesting puzzles and visuals.
  • Revelations was so bad it made me not excited for AC3 anymore. And this is coming from a huge AC fan. I've played I/II/Brotherhood more times than I can count. Also no more Desmond levels. They were absolutely abysmal.
  • I picked up on sale for 50% on black friday and dont regret it at all. The story mode didnt keep me as engaged as the last installment but I really enjoy hoping on multiplayer for a few matches every other day

  • The Desmond Puzzles were ok but they were supper long and became tedious after the end. The Sofia memories were much cooler than those

  • Wow, there is a lot of hate for Assassins Creed: Revelations, and I'm actually surprised. Yes, there were issues with the game:

1.) Den defense was not necessary IMO
2.) Desmond sequences were lacking in gameplay
3.) Not a lot of variety regarding land to traverse

However, for any fan of the series who've enjoyed their time with Ezio (one of my favorite characters of all time) and Altair, I think that the game wraps up the story-lines of both characters well. In addition, there were positive changes made:

1.) Hook blade was all sorts of awesome
2.) Zip-lines were a lot of fun, especially when taking out enemies
3.) Bombs were very useful if you really utilized them (Piri Reis Missions)

Finally, if you need further info on Ezio, I would recommend the short but sweet Assassin's Creed Embers to see 65 year old Ezio, and get a look at a potential character for AC 3...
  • Lol nope. I wont buy any DLC with these Desmond missions. I can watch this on YT to get info about the story but regardless of how much will they want for this, it won't be worth buying it for playing as Desmond in his mind. These missions were so boring.
