Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS Demo Coming Soon
If you're impatiently holding out to play the latest port of Konami's critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 game on your 3DS, heave a sigh of relief. Konami is doing you a solid by releasing the demo this week.
The game, which was one of the highlights of those revealed before the 3DS launch, is finally nearing completion. This new version includes a host of new technical features like 3D support, gyroscope functionality, and the ability to access Snake's inventory through the bottom touchscreen.
The free demo, which will be available to all North American 3DS owners on Thursday, February 16 in the eShop, revolves around the opening segment of the game. Here players can watch a ridiculously long cutscene (this is Metal Gear, after all) and then navigate through a treacherous Soviet Union jungle likely chosen to show off the handheld's 3D effects. This early demo gives you ample time to determine whether or not you want to pick up the game in all its 3D glory when it releases on February 21.
