Converse Bringing New Mario Shoes To Japan

Converse has worked with Nintendo art before with the Super Mario Bros. Chuck Taylor Hi sneakers, and the two companies will be working together again in Japan. Coming in both black and white, the new Super Mario Bros. OX shoes will be available in the spring of this year.

While the images only show Mario on the heel, the High Snobriety link below makes mention of Luigi being featured as well.

Well, i can see why such games and things similiar are so popular in japan. They are able to incorperrate them into everyday products, and on a large scale. It would keep gamers into what they do, and have lots of fun doing it. i can see that commercial already; do you dream to jump like your favorite mario brothers? well, have we got a surprize for you!=)
