The lights are on
Remember Big Boss saluting at the grave of The Boss? How about the fate of John Marston in Red Dead Redemption? Or the insane final moments of Portal 2? Well, none of those endings are as good as the one in Call of Duty: Black Ops, according to the 2012 Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition book.
After 13,519 votes were counted, the 2010 Call of Duty entry stood atop the list of greatest gaming endings of all time. If I remember correctly, it involved shooting a lot of guys, hearing Ed Harris yell something, doing a QTE or two, and then seeing jets fly overhead as a guitar riff played.

Come on?!?! This cant be! CoD got their multiplayer and some cool action in the single, but not a good story, and without a good story there cant be a good ending..... Sigh

They should have had employees working in the game industry, reviewers and developers etc., discuss and make an intelligent vote.
Black Ops got #1 because of the *** song at the end........... I'm just kidding. But seriously WTF?!?!?! At least some Of my game got in the top ten (#10,8,6, and 5)

Really? Black Ops? I thought Reach was okay, but so far nothing impacted me more than perhaps Portal 2 and the musical score.

The lack of Wind Waker disturbs me.
Obviously they didn't play Batman Arkham city, cause I freaking cried at the end.
Absolutely hated the story in Black Ops, so in my opinion that ending shouldn't have even been considered for this list.
