The World Of Warcraft Now Exists In Minecraft

Yes, it's another "look at what some insane/talented person made in Minecraft" story, but before you roll your eyes and check out, I think this is one of the most impressive Minecraft projects yet.

Minecraft Forum user Rumsey has posted the first screens of his crazy undertaking: to recreate World of Warcraft's fantasy setting of Azeroth within Minecraft. Using custom software and mods that allow him to build higher than normal, Rumsey has already finished putting together the zone of Kalimdor in a shockingly faithful style.

Check out more pictures on the forum post linked above. Does this mean I can finally get rid of my WoW subscription and exist in Minecraft full-time?

    Wow. That's extremely impressive. Even Kalimdor alone is very big, let alone all of Azeroth and that other dimension (I quit WOW about a year and a half ago, so I don't remember the name). I had a similar idea to do this for Skyrim, but I don't have nearly enough skills/patience/talent/awesomeness to do that. Maybe someone will... someday

    I'm so sick of these Minecraft stories. I feel like Game Informer was bought out by Minecraft, or something. Somewhere in the world, people are achieving important things. No one is accomplishing anything important when playing Minecraft....

    I wouldn't say insane/talented. More like nerds who have no lives and way to much time on their hands. It's still impressive though.

    I'm guessing because of all the lava this is the post Cataclysm Kalimdor?

    I haven't been back for Cataclysm yet, but I plan to.

    Oh wait, I forgot Kalimdor was a whole continent, not just one zone.

    I'm really glad people derive enjoyment from this because I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to waste this much time (don't have the patience for it).  Good for Rumsey though, looks pretty good.
