See The New Marlins Ballpark Early With MLB 12 The Show

Sony has put together a trailer showing off the new Miami Marlins ballpark as it appears in MLB 12 The Show. Every detail is lovingly rendered, from the fish tanks behind home plate to the ghastly abomination that lurks in the outfield (pictured).

The Marlins' new logo is bad enough, but I'm pretty sure that this...thing...brings Cthulhu one step closer to waking from his dead dreaming sleep in the underwater realm of R'lyeh and devouring our world every time a Marlin hits a home run.

Sony Santa Monica's baseball sim has been one of the best sports games on the market for years, and that's unlikely to change for 2012 We'll find out when it drops on PS3 and Vita on March 6.

  • This might be the year I get a baseball game. Maybe.
  • Somehow I don't think it will make the Marlins more relevant. While I appreciate the fact that they are no longer called the "Florida" Marlins... that logo is hideous - how did they design something even more hideous!? And the Marlins still suck.
  • If Cthulhu ate Joseph's Technicolor Dreamcoat and vomited on Miami you'd have that atrocity in center field and the horrendous logo.

  • that thing in the back is horrible. Also Fish tanks? Behind home plate? WTF? that just seems unnecessary. Also GO RANGERS

  • Welcome to the Island of the Marlins Casino!  Wait..it's not a casino?  Horrible decor...no part of this says "baseball" to me.

  • horrid centerfield decor aside, looks like it will be a nice stadium.  i already miss Buehrle. :(

  • I really hate that thing in center field but Ya'll better leave my Marlins alone, we had some great signings this off-season and I'm pretty sure whatever team ya'll root for hadn't one TWO WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS in it's first 15 years :)
  • This is pretty cool, and will probly peak marlin fans interests.
  • The new stadium is definetly a step up from their old field

  • yes love my marlins and this game is sweet
