The lights are on
When the gaming world turned its eye to 3D in the 32/64-bit era, some franchises made the leap gracefully. Mario and Link knocked the ball out of the park with their three-dimensional debuts, Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. Bubsy did not make that same leap. While he was certainly no Mario or Link to begin with, this wretched platformer ensured that the snarky bobcat would become a gaming footnote at best.
Bubsy 3D was a notoriously awful title when it released in 1996, and we expected the worst when we decided to revisit it 16 years later. You can watch Tim Turi, Andrew Reiner, Ben Reeves, and myself struggle with the title below, and be sure to stay tuned for the second segment.

Bubsy looks terrible. It was actually hurting my mind to watch it in action. I think I rented the SNES original and had a modicum of fun with it, but the 3D really killed it.
Hugo is an a**! All he does is make fun of how bad you're doing with disparaging comments. I can't believe they've made so many games with him. There's also the movie about him that Martin Scorsese just made; don't forget about that.
I'm really liking the RePorted segment. That's a great idea. As is a Super Replay with Pikmin.

That Bubsy game looked pretty rough; the Hugo game looked like a pretty good kids game though.
When I saw a commercial for Bubsy 3D, I was 5.
Now that I actually see the gameplay, I'm glad I saw that commercial for the first and last time.
Hugo looks like a flash game, more so than a Re-ported game!
Please do a replay / superreplay of the horror games from the PS2 era for march since march is Silent Hill month.

Hey guys... you should do Wonder J Project at some point. Its a really neat Japanese SNES game in which you pretty much level up this robot and such...
