Weekend Warrior 02/03/12

by Ben Reeves on Feb 03, 2012 at 01:00 PM

It’s time to begin another weekend. Let’s look up at the stars and wonder about our place in the universe. Okay, enough of that. Now, it’s time to get serious about playing games.

Jeff Cork: I don’t even know what I’m going to play this weekend. I need to get around to playing some Forza, but the God of War collection sounds pretty great right about now, too. Who am I fooling? I’ll just end up trying to beat a bunch of scores on Pinball FX. Ugh.

Dan Ryckert: I'm about to go pick up my dad, who just arrived in town for the weekend from Kansas City. I'm immediately taking him to Game Informer to record several new videos of him playing (and hating) games, and then we're going to be drunk until Monday. I can't wait.

Tim Turi: I finally beat The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, so now I’m in the unique position of having to decide what I want to play next. The sensible side of me says I should return to Skyrim or The Old Republic. The sizable time commitment of Skyward Sword has me hesitant to leap into another huge game, however. So I may try something smaller. I could finish up the last level of Sly Cooper, or maybe dust off an old favorite like Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid. I don’t know. So many options! I should also keep cracking on Pokémon: SoulSilver, I suppose.

Andrew Reiner: While I should devote as much time as I can to reaching level 50 in Star Wars: The Old Republic, my time is instead going to go into Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Saints Row: The Third's first campaign DLC, and Soul Calibur V. I'm also watching Deadwood for the third time.

Jeff Marchiafava: I still haven’t beaten Saints Row: The Third, so I’m going to try doing that – don’t judge me! Also, Andy keeps taunting me about beating my Thor score in Pinball FX 2, so I may take a shot at one-upping him. Then again, our performance reviews are coming up, so maybe I’ll wait…

Ben Hanson: This weekend I will continue playing Paper Monsters and Run Roo Run on the iPhone and Pokemon SoulSilver on my DS. I will also apologize to my consoles for the neglect. But, come on, Pokemon is just too damn good. Have a good weekend!
